Theo Boshoff is the CEO of the Agricultural Business Chamber of South Africa (Agbiz), an industry body that represents more than 100 of the largest companies and organisations in the agricultural value chain. Theo is part of the Agbiz team that works as a liaison between the industry and various Government bodies to craft policy and legislation that affects the sector. Focus areas include land reform and property rights, natural resource legislation, commercial and competition laws, logistics, public-private partnerships, opening up new markets for South African exports as well as the regulatory environment affecting the primary and secondary agricultural sectors.
Theo has represented agribusiness on several platforms such as the AgriBEE Charter Council, Operation Phakisa, and the Ministerial Oversight Committee for the Agricultural and Agro-processing Master Plan. Theo Chairs BUSA’s Economic Policy Committee and is the Convenor for Business at Nedlac’s Trade and Industry Chamber.
He holds an LLM in constitutional property law (cum laude) from the University of the North West, an LLB (cum laude), a Post Graduate Diploma in Business Management (cum laude) from NWU and an Mphil degree in Wildlife Management from the University of Pretoria.
