Kindly note that the date for our next People Management Forum, has been rescheduled from Tuesday 2 May at 09h00 to Wednesday 10 May at 10h00. In the meeting, we will be joined by guest speakers, Johannes Tiba - Senior Manager -Government Relations at Fragomen South Africa and Bulelwa Mfingwana - Immigration Manager at Fragomen South Africa, and they will be unpacking immigration strategies that employers and employees can consider.

Labour and skills development are critical to every organisation and are at the forefront of ensuring that South Africa is a competitive place in which to do business. The People Management Forum specifically focuses on labour-related business issues that affect AmCham members. Workshops are arranged to find solutions to labour-related issues, and to share best-practice case studies.


Objectives:

  • To address issues relating to people management and skills development in the workplace;
  • To influence legislation by compiling submissions on said legislation, and to measure our impact; and
  • To act as a platform to provide networking opportunities for members to share expert knowledge and best-practice

    Immigration Manager at Fragomen

    Bulelwa is a South Africa inbound immigration Manager in Fragomen’s Johannesburg office, where she is responsible for the overall management of client relationships across several industries including IT, manufacturing, power, oil & gas and the financial sector.

    Prior to joining Fragomen, Bulelwa worked as an immigration specialist for a Big Four accounting firm.

    With nine years immigration experience, Bulelwa has solid technical knowledge and extensive experience in handling all visa types including permanent residence permits.

    Bulelwa also has civic experience, including applications for citizenship, birth certificates and applications for South African ID.

    Policy & Government Affairs Director of Fragomen Africa

    Johannes is a Senior Knowledge and Government Strategies and Corporate Compliance Manager at Fragomen’s Johannesburg office. He is a seasoned immigration professional with more than 18 years of experience handling all aspects of South African immigration services. Johannes plays a strategic leadership role within the Coordination Center, where he works to refine and grow business opportunities, and knowledge and service capabilities.

    Prior to joining Fragomen in 2015, Johannes worked for the Department of Home Affairs as a Regional Immigration Head for the Sedibeng area in the Gauteng province, South Africa.
